Here are a few photos and two videos of my concerns with our new heat pump system.
On one of our chilly days last week, I ran the heating side of the system, and an unordinary and concerning a large amount of water/ condensation was running out from the system. This was not coming from the condensation piping but from the central unit itself. My research leads me to believe that this is not normal and could be a clogged line in the system or many other issues. In any case, I am not going to run the system until the issue is addressed.
Blocked condensate pan, trap, or drain
Faulty condensate pump
Blocked pump tubing
The indoor coil is frozen due to malfunction, causing melting ice to drip
A dirty or faulty evaporator coil
Cracked condensate pan, bad gasket
Broken fittings or pipe, unglued joints
Dry-rotted, cracked or kinked furnace tubing or condensate parts
Humidifier over-filling or leaking
